BRAZILIAN BUTTLIFT

BBL surgery is perhaps one of the least invasive and best-developed procedures for achieving fuller glutes. The procedure involves injecting fat into the glutes. This fat is taken from your own body, from areas such as the abdomen, waist, and back, among others, through liposuction. This fat can also be reinjected into other parts of the body to improve their shape.
At NuBody we guide our patients through their entire process, from the details of the procedure to recovery. Our specialist surgeons are ready to help you.
The Brazilian Butt Lift Procedure at NuBody
BBL has three main phases: liposuction of the donor areas, purification of the harvested fat, and reinjection into the buttocks.
The total duration is between two and four hours, and it is performed on an outpatient basis.
Phase 1: Liposuction to Obtain Autologous Fat
The procedure begins with removing fat from the patient's own body through liposuction, which ensures that the material transferred to the buttocks is completely autologous, that is, from the body itself, with no risk of rejection or allergic reactions. The most common donor areas our specialists use for this phase are the abdomen, waist, lower back, and thighs.
The areas are selected during the prior medical consultation, based on each patient's body fat distribution and the volume needed to achieve the desired result. This phase also has a double aesthetic benefit: by removing fat and simultaneously shaping the contour of those areas, it accentuates the projection of the buttocks by contrast.
At NuBody, liposuction for BBL is performed with Vaser® technology assisted by MicroAire®, a combination that allows more selective fat removal with less damage to fat cells, which supports the viability of the fat that will later be transferred.

Phase 2: Fat Transfer and Buttock Contour Design
Once removed, the fat undergoes a purification process to remove impurities, fluids, and damaged cells, preserving as many viable fat cells as possible, which ensure a higher-quality, longer-lasting graft.
Next, the surgeon injects the processed fat into different areas of the gluteal region, using a precise technique that aims to achieve a rounded shape, lifted and proportionate to the rest of the figure. The volume is not distributed uniformly but is planned strategically based on each patient's anatomy and the contour being sought.
Some technical factors that determine the result in this phase are:
The volume transferred
which depends on the patient's build and the amount of fat that could be obtained in the previous phase
The personalized contour design
which takes into account proportion with the hips, waist, and thighs for a harmonious result
The injection planes
which the surgeon selects precisely to distribute the volume in a natural and safe way
It is important to keep in mind that part of the transferred fat may be naturally reabsorbed in the first months after surgery. For that reason, the final result, with the volume stabilized, is clearly visible between three and six months after the procedure.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What Is the Brazilian Butt Lift and What Does It Involve?
How Long Is Recovery After a BBL?
General recovery lasts approximately two weeks, although this time varies from case to case. During that period, it is advisable to avoid sitting directly on the buttocks so as not to compromise the viability of the transferred fat. The final result, with the fat volume stabilized, is visible between three and six months after the procedure.

What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?
It is the procedure that enlarges and shapes the buttocks by injecting your own fat (autologous graft), without implants. It is combined with liposculpture to harmonize your entire silhouette.
How long does a fat graft in the buttocks last?
The fat that successfully integrates (graft survival) remains stable; the percentage depends on the technique and on postoperative care. Your surgeon will explain the instructions that help protect it.
BBL with implants or with your own fat?
A graft of your own fat gives a more natural result and feel, and avoids a foreign body. The recommendation depends on your anatomy and the volume you want.
How much does it cost in Monterrey?
The cost depends on the volume of donor areas to be liposculpted and the extent of the contouring. It is determined at your personalized consultation.
