BREAST LIFT

Gravity is something we can't avoid, so the breasts will tend to sag or drop. A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, consists of removing excess skin and, in most cases, placing the areola back at its original level.

Mastopexy (breast lift) at NuBody Monterrey repositions sagging breasts by removing excess skin and repositioning the areola, with or without implants, performed by certified plastic surgeons. It restores projection and shape without necessarily increasing volume.

You may be a candidate for this surgery if your nipples point clearly downward. This surgery is also often combined with breast implants to give the breast more shape. Breast sagging has a variety of causes, but breastfeeding, age, and having been overweight and then losing weight are among the most common.

A breast lift can be performed with or without implants, depending on the desired results. If you also want more volume or projection, you can learn more about our breast augmentation in Monterrey procedure.

In many cases, patients who undergo this type of procedure also have sagging breasts, loss of firmness and volume, nipples that point downward, or an aged appearance of the breasts. A breast reduction may also be considered when greater comfort or proportion is needed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can my breasts sag again?

Gravity is something we cannot avoid, so breasts will tend to drop or sag. That is why the final size and shape are achieved 4 or 6 months after surgery. In general, there is NOT as marked a sag as before surgery; even more so if submuscular implants have been placed, which will maintain the shape and position of the breast. This is because the implant is held in position by the pectoralis major muscle.

What scar will I have?

It depends on the technique we use, which depends on each particular case. We ALWAYS select the technique that leaves the smallest scar, with the best result in the breast shape, size, and position that the patient desires. You must always understand and accept that you will “have a scar on your breasts in exchange for a new breast shape, position, and size.”

Are implants necessary for a breast lift?

The patient must be evaluated, and based on her wishes and needs, implants may or may not be necessary. In general, if there is little glandular volume and the upper part of the breast is empty, it is very likely that an implant will be absolutely necessary.

Will the scars be very noticeable?

Scars are usually slightly red during the first few months, but they tend to lighten and fade during the first year. They never disappear completely.

Incisions are made in the natural folds of the breasts so that the scars are satisfactorily camouflaged. Depending on the degree of severity, the vertical technique, the inverted-T technique, or variations of the vertical technique, such as the inferolateral or “J”-shaped, can be used. The more severe the case, the longer the scars.

What happens if I get pregnant?

In these cases, just like a marked weight gain (more than 7 kg), the volume and shape of the new breast will inevitably be altered. The final result once weight has been recovered depends on each individual patient, including factors such as the amount of weight gained and lost, skin quality, the presence or absence of stretch marks, and other variables specific to each case.

    What is a breast lift?

It is the surgery (mastopexy) that removes excess skin and repositions the breast and areola to restore projection and shape. It can be done with or without implants.

Breast lift with or without implants?

With implants when you want added volume as well as shape; without implants when sagging is the only concern. Measuring your anatomy during the consultation determines which option is right for you.

How much does a breast lift cost in Monterrey?

The cost depends on the technique (with or without an implant) and the degree of sagging to be corrected. The exact quote is given at your evaluation consultation.

Will I lose sensation after surgery?

Temporary changes in sensation are common after surgery and usually resolve gradually. Your surgeon will explain the process based on your technique.
