    More questions

How many days should I stay in Monterrey before returning to my city?
: We recommend staying in Monterrey for at least 2 weeks for your recovery. However, if you need to return home sooner, we ask that you stay at least 2 days, although you would have to come back for stitch removal, drains, and lymphatic massages. That is why we recommend planning for 2 weeks.

    International Patients

How many days should I stay in the city before and after surgery?
Ideally, you should arrive in the city at least 2 days before your surgery so we can complete consultations and any pending tests, and so you can prepare properly for the procedure. If you will be traveling by road and the trip is longer than 4 hours, it is important to arrive 4 days before surgery to reduce travel-related risks and make sure you are in the best possible condition for your procedure. After surgery, the length of your stay depends on the procedure you had. It can range from 1 week to approximately 2 weeks, so we can follow your recovery and you can attend the necessary postoperative checkups.
Can I have my preoperative tests done in my home country?
Yes, you can have your preoperative tests done in your country of residence. In fact, we recommend having them done about 6 weeks before your surgery so they can be reviewed in time and we can make sure everything is in order before your procedure. Once you have them, you can send them in for review.
What happens if I have a complication after I have returned to my country?
At first, we can hold a virtual consultation with your surgeon to learn about your symptoms and determine the next steps. Depending on the situation, the doctor may give you instructions remotely or recommend an in-person consultation with a health professional in your area.
If the surgeon determines that the complication requires a procedure or in-person care from our team, we will assess whether you need to return to receive the appropriate treatment.
If you have symptoms that could represent a medical emergency, you should go immediately to the nearest emergency room and then keep our team informed.
Our goal is for you to continue to have medical guidance and follow-up even after you return home.
How will my follow-up work once I return to my country?
    Video calls
    Photos
    WhatsApp
    In-person checkups if needed
Will I be able to contact the doctor or the medical team after surgery if I have questions?
Yes, of course. Before your surgery, we will create a WhatsApp group that includes your advisor, the doctor, and the nursing and reception teams. Through this group, you can stay in direct contact with us during your recovery and get answers to any questions or concerns that come up. Our team will be available to guide and support you at every stage of your process.
